Our Products

uLab® Analyzer "Analyze Anywhere" uLab® Analyzer is a mobile app that analyzes any object including diagnostic test devices and stores results in the cloud. The app is used in conjunction with the patented uLab® Optic Chamber, PAS (Picture Analysis Software) and DAS (Data Analysis Software). The app can be used by anyone, anywhere, with minimal training; connecting test results with doctors, patients, lab technicians or any user. The app is downloaded using a mobile smartphone/tablet and is available for the Android & IOS operating systems. The app coordinates users to take a picture of a test device or test object and transmits the picture and other data via wireless connections to the uLab® cloud-based PAS & DAS. Within seconds the analysis is completed, and test results are transmitted back to the uLab® App.  Using the uLab® Optic Chamber is optional for non-FDA approved medical devices when using the uLab® Analyzer feature.  The uLab® Optic Chamber incorporates advanced Calibration options and optimized lighting to produce the best environment for accurate results.

uLab® Picture Analysis Software (PAS) uLab® Picture Analysis Software (PAS) is located in the uLab® cloud. This software uses a set of algorithms that analyzes pictures or video by selecting signal bands, plotting pixel density ratios and measuring the area underneath each peak to provide qualitative and quantitative results. The PAS manages and stores all data and can be accessed using either the uLab® App or through online login. Test results are transmitted back to the uLab® App for viewing. All data is secure, encrypted, and stored with password protection that is HIPAA compliant. A specially designed Calibration Matrix is employed to standardize the user's mobile device camera with the uLab® Optic Chamber and the cloud-based PAS (Picture Analysis Software). Upon initial use and at appropriate intervals, the uLab® Optic Chamber Calibration Matrix is used to analyze and calibrate individual mobile devices to ensure proper results. Test devices that can be used with uLab® App include cassettes, colored pads, ELISA plates, strips, tablets, and midstream devices. From these test devices, results can be obtained for Drugs of Abuse, Pregnancy, Ovulation, Ketones, Bilirubin, Glucose, Urinalysis and many more. Test devices can be analyzed from many different technological fields such as agricultural, animal health, environmental, food safety, and medical.

uLab® Data Analysis Software (DAS) uLab® Data Analysis Software (DAS) is located in the uLab® cloud. This software uses a set of algorithms that simultaneously analyzes data collected from mobile devices. Possible data collection includes Audio Detection Recording, DNA/RNA Hybridization & Reverse Hybridization, Infrared Waves, Measuring & Motion Data, Molecular Test Data, UV Light Waves, and more. Calibration modules are incorporated for all applications. The DAS manages and stores all data and can be accessed using either the uLab® App or through online login. Test results are transmitted back to the uLab® App for viewing. All data is secure, encrypted, and stored with password protection that is HIPAA compliant.

uLab® Archive "Secure Permanent Archive of Test Results"

uLab® Archive is a unique separate feature included with the uLab® app that provides a permanent secure record for test results that have been visually interpreted. After a diagnostic test device has been performed and visually interpreted (such as a Pregnancy Test), using the uLab® Archive feature, a color picture of the result is taken and transmitted to your account at www.ulabmobile.com. Results are securely stored for future access and can be printed or emailed at any time. HIPPA compliant stored results can be accessed using either the uLab® App or online login at ulabmobile.com. The Optic Chamber is not required when using uLab® Archive, however it will improve the quality of stored results.

uLab® Optic Chamber "Portable Lab Accurate Test Results"

The uLab® Optic Chamber is specially designed to be used in conjunction with the uLab® App PAS (Picture Analysis Software) and DAS (Data Analysis Software). The uLab® Optic Chamber uses patented technology design with advanced Calibration options and optimized lighting to produce the best environment for accurate results. The uLab® Optic Chamber is powered by coin-style batteries that provides portability and hundreds of test analysis. The Floor Panel contains a raised template contoured for the shape of the Test Object to provide accurate orientation. Floor Panels are interchangeable to accommodate any size and shape Test Object from any manufacturer.  The Optic Chamber is optional but is required for some testing scenerios.

FAQs

The uLab® Mobile system allows you to analyze diagnostic test devices such as pregnancy tests, ovulation tests, drugs of abuse, and many more; or any other object that is placed inside the Optic Chamber. The system can analyze lateral flow tests, color change tablets, manufactured parts, swimming pool test strips, urinalysis test strips, and many more. The system can be set to analyze audio, infrared, motion, UV light, or video. QR code/barcode reading is incorporated.

The uLab® Mobile system is designed to analyze many objects and tests.  The most popular uses include analysis of diagnostic tests for Pregnancy, Ovulation, Drugs of Abuse, and Urinalysis.  Please inquire about a specific test application by sending an email to [email protected].

Other uses included ELISA Analysis, Object Identity & Defect Detection, Ketones, Glucose, Assembly Line Integration, Audio Detection Recording & Analysis, DNA/RNA Hybridization & Reverse Hybridization Analysis, Infrared Detection & Analysis, Measuring & Motion Analysis, Molecular Tests, UV Light Detection & Analysis, Urinalysis and many more. A Video Image Option is available for specific requirements.  Calibration modules are incorporated for all applications.

The uLab® Mobile App is multi-functional which allows users to choose between two options, uLab® Analyzer or uLab® Archive.

uLab® Analyzer provides objective results by taking a picture of a Test Device (such as a Pregnancy test) or any object and sending it via wireless connections to the uLab® cloud-based PAS (Picture Analysis Software). Within seconds the analysis is completed, and results are transmitted back to the app and viewed on the mobile device. Due to government regulations, uLab® Analyzer is not available for all tests in the USA.

uLab® Archive provides a permanent record by taking a picture of test results or objects interpreted visually and storing them securely in your account in the uLab® cloud. Test results can be accessed either the uLab® app or online and can be printed or emailed at any time. uLab® Archive is available for all tests.  The Optic Chamber is not required when using uLab® Archive, however it will improve the quality of stored results.

Soon the app will be available via the App Store and Google Play.

The chamber has three parts, the Top Panel, Side Panel and the Floor Panel. Place the body of the Optic Chamber on a flat surface. Place the Top Panel over the body of the Side Panel and slide forward until it snaps into place.  That is it.

The Floor Panel is uniquely designed to fit inside the four vertical sides as the chamber is placed over the Floor Panel; preventing external light from entering the chamber.

If uLab® will not read a QR code, most likely the QR code is either too close or too far away.  Each mobile device is different, so experiment to find the optimal distance.  In general, hold the QR code approximately 7 to 12 inches away from your mobile device for optimal reading.

It depends.  Using the uLab® Optic Chamber ALWAYS improves accuracy.  The app has 2 features:

1) uLab® Analyzer feature: When using this feature, the uLab® Optic Chamber is optional for non-FDA approved medical devices.  The uLab® Optic Chamber incorporates advanced Calibration options and optimized lighting to produce the best environment for accurate results.  If testing a US FDA approved medical device (eg. pregnancy test), the uLab® Optic Chamber is required.  In this case, the app will not allow testing without the chamber.

2) uLab® Archive feature: When using this feature the uLab® Optic Chamber is not required.  However, using it will optimize lighting to produce the best results.
